Hosted by the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA), co-sponsored by the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO), and in association with the General Services Administration, GovTravels brings together experts from across the U.S. Government and the commercial travel industry to examine a wide range of issues that impact the Government’s multi-billion-dollar travel enterprise. Presenters from across government and industry are set to provide informative presentations and foster thought-provoking discussions focused on this year’s theme, “Navigating New Horizons: Empowering Government and Travel Industry through Education & Training.” “We’re excited to come together with defense travel managers and industry partners. It gives us an opportunity learn from one another, ensure the voices of stakeholders are heard, while we work together to address common challenges, share innovative ideas to gain efficiencies, and improve the Government’s commercial travel services,” said Sarah Moore, DTMO’s Director.
This year’s events include:
- Keynote addresses featuring industry and government experts, including Mr. Paul Abbott, Chief Executive Officer, American Express Global Business Travel on the topic of “Strategic Partnership for Global Readiness: The Future of Government Passenger Travel."
- Panel discussions highlighting the traveler’s experience and how Government and Industry can use feedback to drive improvements in usability, policy, and technology.
- Travel Academy – educational sessions focused on training for DoW travel managers and more, including travel policy & compliance, travel program management, technology & innovation, and challenges & solutions.
- Exhibit Hall – Visit with travel industry vendors and Government program representatives to discuss their products and services.
- DoW Connect – DoW attendees have a chance to hear directly from the DTMO Director and leadership team on the state of the Defense Travel Enterprise.
