Some users trying to book a Turkish Airlines flight in the Defense Travel System (DTS) may receive the following error:
An Error Has Occurred. We are encountering an issue with our partner system. Please try again in a few minutes.
Turkish Airlines stopped publishing fares to the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) on September 1, 2024, which means the system no longer sees the airline’s available fares in its inventory, causing the error. Travelers serviced by TMCs connected to other systems, such as Worldspan GDS, or when booking Turkish Airlines via codeshare partners, should not have an issue and can continue booking Turkish Airlines fares through the standard DTS process.
Recommended Action: Retrying will not resolve the issue and we are working to correct this message. If you encounter this error, proceed with the booking process in one of three ways:
- Select an Alternative Airline
- This error is specific to Turkish Airlines. Selecting an alternative airline will allow you to proceed through the standard DTS booking process.
- Codeshare flights with other carriers are not impacted and remain available for booking through the standard DTS booking process.
- Use DTS to Request Assistance from your Travel Management Company (TMC)
- In the DTS reservation module, select the Request TMC Assistance link located at the bottom of the results list. This initiates a TMC assistance request and allows the TMC to enter reservation details directly into DTS.
- Enter your requested flight details and the TMC will assist with booking the reservation
