Public Transit and Parking Information

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority provides public transportation services in the Washington, DC area with services in Maryland and Northern Virginia.

Metrobus Lines to the Mark Center

 

Metrorail Routes to the Mark Center

The Metrorail [wmata.com] does not stop directly at the Mark Center, but there are four route options available:

  • Take the Metro to the Pentagon Station then take Metro Bus 7M to the Mark Center (picks up in bus bay U6 at the Pentagon Transit Center).
  • Take the Metro to the King St. Station then take DASH bus AT2 or AT2X to the Mark Center.
  • Take the Metro to the West Falls Church Metro Station then take Metro Bus 28X to the Mark Center.
  • Take the Metro to the Franconia/Springfield Metro Station then take the Mark Center Shuttle (operated by DC Tours). Board the shuttle from the loading zone just before Bus Bay A.

The Alexandria Transit Company's DASH system provides bus service within the City of Alexandria, and connects with Metrobus, Metrorail, Virginia Railway Express, and all local bus systems. DASH serves all of the Alexandria Metrorail Stations and the Pentagon Metrorail station during morning and evening peak periods. Route AT2 [dashbus.com] services the Mark Center at the Southern Towers/Stratford Building stop.

Loudoun County Transit 

Loudoun County Transit [loudoun.gov] operates rush-hour service from park-and-ride lots in Loudoun County to destinations that include West Falls Church Metro, Rosslyn, the Pentagon, and Washington, DC. Martz Commuter Bus

Martz National Coach Works [martzgroupva.com] operates commuter service from Virginia park-and-ride lots to destinations that include Crystal City, the Pentagon, and Washington, DC.

OmniRide

Operated by the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC), OmniRide [prtctransit.org] operates weekday rush-hour service from locations throughout Prince William County and the Manassas and Gainesville areas to destinations that include the Vienna, West Falls Church, and Franconia/Springfield Metro stations, the Pentagon, Crystal City, Rosslyn/Ballston, downtown Washington, DC, Capitol Hill, and the Washington Navy Yard.

The VRE operates two commuter rail options servicing Virginia commuters referred to as the Fredericksburg Line and the Manassas Line. These lines operate Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.

Fredericksburg Line

The Fredericksburg Line [vre.org] operates between the Fredericksburg Station located at 200 Lafayette Blvd., Fredericksburg, VA and Union Station in Washington, DC.

Manassas Line

The Manassas Line [vre.org] operates between the Broad Run Station located at 10637 Piper Lane, Bristow, VA and Union Station in Washington, DC.

Public Transportation Connections from the VRE to the Mark Center

Alexandria Station

Located near the King Street Metro station. Walk under the tracks to arrive at the King Street Metro, then take DASH Bus AT2 or AT2X to the Mark Center.

Crystal City Station

Located near the Crystal City Metro station. Walk through the Crystal Shops Mall or walk south along Crystal Drive to 18th Street, turn right onto 18th Street, and the Crystal City Metro entrance will be near the top of the hill. Take either the Blue or Yellow line to the Pentagon, then take MetroBus 7M to the Mark Center.

The Maryland Transit Administration operates the MARC Train [mta.maryland.gov] which services commuters from Harford County, MD; Baltimore City; Washington DC; Brunswick, MD; Frederick, MD; and Martinsburg, WV along three routes.

Brunswick Line

The Brunswick Line [mta.maryland.gov] operates between Martinsburg, WV and Union Station in Washington, DC.

  • Transfer points to the Metro Red Line are located at the Rockville, Union Station, and Silver Spring stops. You can then transfer to the Blue Line at Metro Center or the Yellow Line at either Gallery Place/Chinatown or Fort Totten to get to the Pentagon and then take Metrobus 7M to the Mark Center.

Camden Line

The Camden Line [mta.maryland.gov] operates between the Baltimore/Camden Station in Baltimore, MD and Union Station in Washington, DC.

  • A transfer point to the Metro Red Line is located at the Union Station stop. You can then transfer to the Blue Line at Metro Center or the Yellow Line at Gallery Place/Chinatown to get to the Pentagon and then take Metrobus 7M to the Mark Center.
  • Transfer points to the Metro Yellow Line are located at the College Park/University of Maryland and Greenbelt stops with service to the Pentagon and then take Metrobus 7M to the Mark Center.

Penn Line

The Penn Line [mta.maryland.gov] operates between Perryville, MD and Union Station in Washington, DC.

  • A transfer point to the Metro Red Line is located at the Union Station stop. You can then transfer to the Blue Line at Metro Center or the Yellow Line at Gallery Place/Chinatown to get to the Pentagon and then take Metrobus 7M to the Mark Center.
  • There is also a transfer point to the Metro Orange Line at New Carrollton then transfer to the Blue Line or Yellow Line at the L'Enfant Metro Station to get to the Pentagon and then take Metrobus 7M to the Mark Center.

If you would like to request visitor parking, you must submit a parking clearance request at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled visit. Please contact the office you are scheduled to visit to make arrangements.

Visitors may also pay to park in the Colonial Parking [ecolonial.com] garage across the street or at the Hilton Mark Center [hilton.com].
