CTD for CAP 42-26(I), Clarify Travelers Eligible for a House-Hunting TripThis item clarifies that a domestic partner is eligible to take a house-hunting trip (HHT) when the civilian employee has accepted a permanent transfer, and the circumstances indicate the need of a HHT. UTD for MAP 29-26(R), Temporary Lodging Expense Extension When Household Goods Shipment is Delayed Due to Shipping RestrictionsThis item authorizes up to 60 days of temporary lodging expense (TLE) for a CONUS permanent change of station when the Service member cannot receive his or her household goods due to international shipping restrictions. The Service member’s component must verify that Government housing is unavailable and route each request and supporting documentation through their Military Advisory Panel member to PDTATAC staff for approval.8/20/2026

UTD FOR MAP 26-26(R), Travel for Family Members of a Service Member in Hospice CareThis item authorizes travel and transportation allowances for up to three family members to visit a Service member in hospice care with a prognosis of nine months or less to live, under the authority of 37 U.S.C. § 452(b)(12). Currently, the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) par. 033201 narrowly authorizes family travel and transportation allowances to seriously ill or injured Service members at a medical facility. This proposal alleviates the emotional and financial burden on families of terminally ill Service members. Effective September 9, 2026.9/9/2026
