UTD/CTD for MAP/CAP 54-24(R), Expansion of Reimbursable Expenses for Breast Milk Shipments Related to Special NeedsTo authorize reimbursement of disposable storage bags or non-durable containers, cold shipping packages, and refrigeration as part of the special accommodation for the shipment of breast milk expressed by a Service member or civilian employee traveling under TDY orders or a Service member traveling under PCS orders. This aligns the Joint Travel Regulations with the authority outlined in the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), Part 301-13, as determined by FTR Bulletin 22-03 and reenforced by Christina C, CBCA-7750-RELO. UTD for MAP 25-24(R), Transport or Shipment of Human Breast Milk for PCS TravelTo provide a “special need” accommodation for a nursing Service member that allows for reimbursement of expenses associated with the transport or shipment of human breast milk while on travel for a permanent change of station (PCS) in accordance with Federal law. This authority would not extend to an accommodation for nursing Service members during an unaccompanied tour. Effective on May 24, 2024.5/24/2024
UTD for MAP 63-25(R), Temporary Lodging Expense (TLE) Extension for Vance AFB, OKUnder JTR, par. 050601-B3, the Air Force Principal has requested a TLE extension for the Vance AFB, OK because it has determined that the military housing area (MHA) is experiencing a sudden increase of Service members assigned to that location. The authority for action is 37 U.S.C. § 452(b)(11). Effective December 4, 2025.12/4/2025

UTD for MAP 94-22(R) Edwards AFB/Palmdale CA (CA457) TLE ExtensionUnder JTR, par. 050601-B3, the Air Force requested a TLE extension for Edwards AFB/Palmdale, CA (MHA CA457) because it has determined that the Military Housing Area is experiencing a housing shortage that prevents Service members from obtaining adequate permanent Government-owned, Government-controlled, privatized or private-sector rental housing. The authority for action is 37 U.S.C. § 452, which permits an extension of TLE in locations where the President has declared a major disaster area under Section 401 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. § 5170 et. seq.).2/14/2023

UTD FOR MAP 69-25(R), Temporary Lodging Expense (TLE) Extension for Edwards AFB-Palmdale, CAUnder JTR, par. 050601-B3, the Air Force requested a TLE extension for the Edwards AFB-Palmdale, CA military housing area (MHA 457) because it has determined that the MHA is experiencing a housing shortage that prevents Service members from obtaining adequate permanent Government-owned, Government-controlled, privatized or private-sector rental housing. The authority for action is 37 U.S.C. § 452(b)(11). Due to a shortage of housing in the Edwards AFB-Palmdale, CA MHA 457, personnel require additional time to locate and secure permanent housing. This item extends the end date through which Edwards AFB Palmdale, CA is a location where Service members may receive extended TLE. Effective January 9, 2026.1/9/2026

UTD for MAP 70-25(R), Temporary Lodging Expense (TLE) Extension for Moody AFB, GAUnder JTR, par. 050601-B3, the Air Force requested a TLE extension for the Moody AFB, GA military housing area (MHA081) because it has determined that the MHA is experiencing a housing shortage that prevents Service members from obtaining adequate permanent Government-owned, Government-controlled, privatized or private-sector rental housing. The authority for action is 37 U.S.C. § 452(b)(11). Due to a shortage of housing in the Moody AFB, GA MHA081, personnel require additional time to locate and secure permanent housing. This item extends the end date through which Moody AFB, GA is a location where Service members may receive extended TLE up to 60 days. Effective December 22, 2025.12/22/2025
